Verizon has launched LTE service in several cities across the U.S., including New York, Boston, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and Philadelphia.
The new service is available in New York City, Boston and Atlanta, while Dallas and Houston are now available in Chicago.
In New York and Boston, Verizon is offering a new package for its customers with speeds of at least 200 megabits per second and 1 gigabit per second.
In Atlanta, Verizon’s LTE service is now available.
The speed is currently set at 200 megabit per minute and the package comes with 1 gigabyte of data per month.
The company is also adding new packages in Philadelphia, Dallas and Chicago, and is adding more cities to the rollout.
In Dallas, customers can now get speeds of up to 300 megabit per second at $70 per month and 1 terabyte of high-speed data per year at $110 per month with a 2.5GHz network.
The carrier is also introducing an LTE service that can be purchased in the New York metropolitan area, with speeds up to 450 megabitts per second for $70 a month.
Verizon is also offering LTE service at select stores in the Houston area and Dallas.
The new LTE packages are available for existing Verizon customers who have a data plan, Verizon said.
Verizon also announced that it will offer an LTE plan that provides at least 2 gigabyte per month of high speed data to existing customers.
The plans are available starting today and will continue through March 15.
