Samsung’s new Galaxy S smartphones come with a few unique perks that aren’t always easy to find in the US.
So far, it’s the S8, S7 and S7 Edge, but there’s a new flagship handset to upgrade from as well.
We take a look at all the new smartphones at launch, and see what we can learn about what makes them tick.
Read More , but we’re going to start with the S7 edge, because that’s what most people are looking for.
We’ll start by getting the Samsung phone out of the box, and then we’ll talk about what we love about it.
First things first: the S9 and S9+ are all the same phone.
They all come with the same quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and they all come in either white or black.
The S9 comes in two colors, and both are available in either 64GB or 128GB.
The Note 9 and S10 both have 4GB of memory and 64GB of internal storage.
The iPhone XS Max is the S10, the S12 comes in white, and the S14 comes in black.
Both phones are powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC, which is slightly faster than the Snapdragon 845 in other Samsung devices.
That means the phone will have a bit more processing power than the Galaxy S9, but not enough to make the difference in performance.
The Snapdragon 821 processor in the S4, S6 and S8 will still be the standard for the next generation of smartphones, and it’s definitely not going to go away.
We’ll talk more about that in the future.
The S9 will have four camera sensors in the back, including a laser autofocus sensor.
That sensor is a huge improvement over the iPhone X, which uses a conventional image sensor, which has an 8-megapixel sensor in front.
There are also three LED flash units, which you can attach to the sides of the phone to flash a white LED whenever you want to show a notification.
Samsung has done this before with the Note 8 and S12, and you can see how it works in the gallery above.
The front of the S 9 has a 5-megapixels camera, and there’s also a front-facing selfie camera.
This is a great feature, especially for those of us who like to take selfies without having to put a camera app on the phone.
You can also attach a flash to the front, which lets you take a shot as long as you’re standing in front of your phone.
It’s definitely an upgrade over the selfie camera on the Note 9, but it’s not the same as the flash in the iPhone 8 Plus.
The phone has a front fingerprint sensor, too, which means you can swipe your finger against the screen to unlock it.
The Galaxy S6, S8 or S7 have a similar fingerprint sensor.
The Galaxy S10 has a different sensor, but Samsung says that’s different to the Galaxy Note 10.
The front of this phone is covered in Gorilla Glass, and Samsung says the front of both phones is covered with sapphire glass.
The sides of both are covered in ceramic glass, and sapphires are harder than glass.
The back of the Samsung S9 also has a fingerprint sensor (though this sensor is different from the one on the S6).
There’s also an IR sensor, and a proximity sensor, both of which have a proximity detector that will alert you to an incoming call or notification when you pick up your phone from the charger.
The screen has a dual-tone LED flash and an LED notification light.
The camera has a new 12-megawatt, 2,800-by-1,800 camera that can shoot 1080p video and 1080p stills.
Samsung says the phone has an IR blaster, a motion detection blaster, an IR-reflecting flash and a new 3,000mAh battery.
The motion detection sensor has a wide range of motion detection options, and these options can be combined to create a variety of different sensor types.
The rear of the Galaxy, S9 or S10 comes with a 12-mpixel main camera with a f/1.7 aperture.
This sensor has 12 megapixels, which are bigger than the iPhone’s 12 megapixel main camera.
Samsung says there are two sensor types in the rear: a standard IR sensor and an IR laser.
The main camera on both phones uses an 8 megapixel camera sensor.
We’ve seen a lot of buzz about the new Galaxy’s camera, so we’ll go ahead and assume that the new camera is better than the S5’s, and that the S series is still the best camera on a phone.
The camera on this phone has optical image stabilization, which makes the camera take a much smoother image when you move your hand around.
