It was a big day for Verizon, as it confirmed that its internet connection had been downed.
As of today, Verizon said its internet service had been cut by 20% due to a cyber attack.
The company also announced that the outage affected customers in California, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
Verizon confirmed the outage in a tweet today, and it’s now reported that some users in California were experiencing issues with their internet connection.
Verify that your Verizon internet connection is stable and you should be able to access the internet.
If you can’t, go to Verizon.com/support and look for the “Verizon Help” link.
Verified customers will receive a confirmation email in the next 48 hours.
It’s unclear when Verizon’s internet service will be restored, but customers who are unable to connect should go to the company’s website.
Verisign also said that it has received reports that its network has been hacked and that it’s working to restore service as quickly as possible.
Verizion said that the breach took place over the weekend and that the company is investigating the matter.
